Deaconess Kyungrim Hong(Age 55, the 11th Parish)


Born into a wealthy family, I did not lack anything physically, but I was very thirsty spiritually. I visited many big churches and listened to the sermons, but my soul’s hunger was not satisfied. Then, in November 1992, after majoring in violin at university, I joined the Nissi Orchestra and began to attend Manmin Central Church.

The words of life that Dr. Jaerock Lee preached were enough to satisfy the thirst of my soul, and when I received the Holy Spirit and met God passionately, a river of living water overflowed in my heart as if I had met found an oasis in a dry desert.
At that time, when I was praying for my career path, God taught me what the most precious life was and gave me earnest hope for the beautiful New Jerusalem.
Since I was in high school, I have had so many acne on my face that I have been nicknamed, ‘Lady with stars’. I tried good medicines through my parents, who are professors and pharmacists at the College of Pharmacy, but I had a painful day due to side effects. However, after receiving Dr. Jaerock Lee’s prayer for the sick at then end of his sermon, I was completely healed. Not only that, my cystitis and lumps in my chest were gone.
I also had a very interesting experience. After the Friday All-night Service, I greeted Dr. Lee and shook hands with him, and when I returned home to wash my face, I noticed that something like slippery plastic came out of my eyes. After that, I could see the music well, which I could not see without glasses, and when I measure my eye vision, it was confirmed that the left and right vision improved from 0.7 to 1. 2. Hallelujah!

As I experienced the power of God and lived my life of faith, I was happy to know that the Lord, whom I love, is with me and always gives me comfort and strength. It was fun to know the spiritual meaning of God’s words recorded in the Bible through the words of life that Dr. Jaerock Lee preached. I give all thanks and glory to God the Father of love, who leads me on the path of blessing so that I can live a true life of faith.
