1 Corinthians 12:18-20
[18] But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
[19] If they were all one member, where would the body be?
[20] But now there are many members, but one body.
This is the 35th Anniversary Eve Service. I give all thanks and glory to God the Father who has led this church this far Himself. I extend my thanks to all the faithful and devoted pastors and workers and members who have become one by trust and love.
Just as the Bible said, God placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. He placed pastors, missionaries, elders, senior deaconesses, teachers, choir, orchestra, volunteers, cell & district leaders, leaders of various missions, and so on "for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ," just as recorded in Ephesians 4:12.
That is, it is to give His children opportunities to serve the church and to build up the church which is the body of Christ. And when these members are united as one, the body of Christ can stand straight and upright.
Manmin has been always one since the start. And consequently, this church has been able to give glory to God the Father meeting the purpose God set this church up to accomplish. Tonight, I will tell you what has made it possible for Manmin to be united as one. I hope all the members of Manmin will be faithful to your give duties until the Lord comes back. I wish for the Lord, the head of the church, to continue to be glorified through Manmin, and that He will boast of Manmin before God the Father.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Manmin has become one because, first of all, Manmin has followed the teaching of but one shepherd only.
Psalm 23:1-2 says, "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters." Manmin has followed the word of God the Father, our Shepherd, and that is what has allowed for Manmin to be as one. Manmin has followed the word of the good Lord who sacrificed His life for the sheep, and it has made Manmin as one.
Before I started this church, during the preparation for my ministry, I gave countless prayers and fastings to receive God's explanation on His word. I was desperate to know what God the Father truly desires of us through the Bible. When I piled up prayers for 7 years, I received the answers. The Lord began to explain the Bible.
Then I started to deliver messages, and the 'Message of the Cross' which is just one of them. This message contains the God's ultimate reason for the creation of human beings. That is, God created human beings and began human cultivation in order to acquire true children He could share love with forever. This message also explains the passion of the Christ for the completion of providence of the Cross and the spiritual growth of those who are born again of water and the Spirit by accepting the Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Based of this message, He explained the 5 levels of spiritual growth. This spiritual growth is also the "Measure of Faith" message. This message explains in great detail the processes of spiritual growth from the 1st level, which is the faith of being born again by the Holy Spirit, to the 5th level, which is the highest level of faith. From this message, you can find that your eternal dwelling place in Heaven is decided by the measure of faith achieved while on this earth. This message has provided you with the clear goal for your life. And you set up a goal of casting off all evil from your heart and accomplishing the heart of whole spirit, which is the level of reaching the fullness of Christ while on this earth. In other words, you earnestly desire to become a true child that God the Father truly wants, and to be loved by God in this life and the life to come.
You may find that those who follow these teachings of the only Shepherd are all one as Manmin regardless of their age, sex, race, or nationality. This gospel of Holiness that I received from God the Father and preach is being broadcast all over the world by various media. Countless people have watched and heard the messages, received grace, and have come to have the same hope as that of our members. Those who set 'sanctification' as the highest value and goal in their lives are fulfilling this goal in every corner of the world.
When they become one through the word like this, they become Manmin family. Recently, a Manmin branch church was set up in Moldova, Eastern Europe. A brother listened to the gospel of Holiness on Youtube and TV. He was greatly touched and he began to share the grace with people around him. Most of those who accepted this gospel of Holiness experienced change and life. The number added up, and they eventually they had to find and found a place for a sanctuary and began to worship together in April 2014. They downloaded the video files of our services, and used them to offer up worship services. There was no missionary dispatched there, but they began the church on there own just by listening to the messages of this church.
Not only Moldova, but we have many other Manmin families also in China and the Ukraine. They too hold worship services via the Internet. Since they became one with us, their wish is the same as our members here. That is, they wish to be able to quickly grow up in faith to be qualified to enter New Jerusalem. They wish they can stand on the rock of faith, and accomplish the heart of spirit and whole spirit just as Manmin members in Korea do.
Last September, Pastor Soojin Lee visited the church in Moldova to lead a handkerchief meeting and a Baptism service. Since there are only layman members, they haven't had a service for baptism. The church expected about 100 would attend the handkerchief meeting because they had 70 members or so, but it turned out that about 170 attended the meeting. The number of non-members of the church was more than the number of the members! Those who received the fullness and answers by the work of the Holy Spirit became so happy, and gave glory to God.
As you can see, following the teachings of the only Shepherd, the LORD, and uniting as one will bear truly full and abundant fruits.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Manmin has become one because, secondly, it's been bound in love.
Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." To save sinners, God allowed His only begotten Son Jesus to be the propitiation for our sin. Whoever believes in the redemption in the cross of the Lord can be forgiven and become a child of God. Therefore, Christians all over the world can call God 'Father', and hence, they become brothers and sisters bound in the blood of the Lord.
When I met God and began my Christian life, I was so glad whenever I saw someone on the street who had a Bible in hand. I was also so touched by the cross on the rooftop of a church building. It was the grace that the Lord gave me. Those who received this great un-repayable love from the Lord can become one in the love of the Lord.
It is love that can make one united heart out of people with different thoughts, different personalities, different backgrounds. Colossians 3:14 says, "Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity."
From 37 countries, about 1,100 members and pastors participated 2017 Summer Retreat. Let me read what Pastor Vladimir Osipov, from Russia, said in his interview. "As I see the ministry of Dr. Jaerock Lee, through his wide and broad love, the people feel the love of God the Father. Whenever I meet with Dr. Lee, I myself feel his great love, and God's love that is revealed through him. Thanks to this love, thanks to this power of love, I can go back to Russia and do my ministry. Many pastors who visit Manmin Church are much surprised and greatly touched by Dr. Jaerock Lee's humility and love. I realize that the ministry of God's power can never be possible without spiritual love. I will do all the more of my best to spread this ministry of God's power and the gospel of Holiness to whole Russia."
Pastor Shilomi Apramov from Israel attended this retreat and he was healed of his vericose veins. He confessed like this; "I was touched by the pure love of Manmin members who are full of God's love, the Lord's love, and the shepherd's love. I became full of the Spirit as I gained new strength and power through the word of God. And the love of the shepherd made us as one in the Lord."
That's right. It is love that can make the hearts of people with different languages, ethics, and backgrounds as one. Just as the love of the Lord who sacrificed His life for sinners has bound souls as one, to make Manmin as one, the love that can sacrifice all things for the souls was needed.
From the moment I met God, I've loved God foremost of all, and I've loved souls following the desire of God. To have one more soul saved, to help one more soul reach New Jerusalem, I've devoted everything I've got without sparing anything. Since this church started, I've never been paid by the church; I've managed myself only by what God has provided. I've rather helped the poor and the missions through my finances. Not only material wise, but also time wise, I've spent it for the work of God and of souls. I've never thought to myself, "I've done enough. It's OK to rest."
Since 2010, to fill up the justice for souls' salvation and change, I've paid the price like giving in my life. As its result, I lost all the strength from my entire body, and all my body parts became weak. As my vitality was drained way from marrows, there were moments I couldn't even stand up. Countless nights, I couldn't get sleep even if I wanted to.
Yet, I was pressed by the thoughts whether our members are deceived to commit sin, or whether they lost heart in thought that it is too hard to become sanctified. That's why I wanted to reveal the spiritual realm all the more clearly, and to increase their faith by manifesting signs and wonders with even greater power. As now, you understand the love contained the power and run toward spirit all the more vigorously, and I'm so thankful for that.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Manmin has become one because, thirdly, Manmin has always sought after the glory of God.
For the glory God, Jesus manifested countless signs and wonders. He allowed for the blind see, the mute to speak, the crippled to be restored, and the lame to walk. And those who witnessed His ministry all glorified God. As Jesus unfolded the power of God the Almighty on this earth, He let God the Father receive all the glory.
After He revived Lazarus who had been dead for 4 days, He said it was "...for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it..." Since Jesus glorified God the Father like this, people back in His days knew that Jesus belonged to God. The one who was born blind but later able to see after meeting Jesus said in John 9:32-33, "Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He could do nothing."
Just as Psalm 62:11 says, "...power belongs to God," if someone manifests the power, he belongs to God. Furthermore, the one who manifests the power doesn't glorify oneself, but glorifies God, it proves that the one belongs to God. I earnestly prayed to receive the power of God because I wanted to achieve the good will of God the Father who desires all men to be saved. And to complete the power of re-creation, which is the highest level of power, I've been under the harsh training which is hard for an ordinary man to bear.
Consequently, however, not only healing of various diseases, but also countless wonders were manifested. Specially in this year's Summer Retreat, God made me pray for those demon-possessed to become normal, and the works of demon-possessed people being set free took place. The power of changing the weather is being manifested much more quickly at a whole different level.
Right before the retreat, the typhoon 'Noru' was moving toward Korea, and it was forecasted that it would affect Korea beginning Aug. 7, which was the first date of the retreat. On Aug. 3, I prayed that the typhoon would disappear or change its course. Then, the typhoon changed its expected course toward the east. The venue of the retreat was no longer to be affected by the typhoon. I prayed once more at the request of a member who is running a ferry line service from Pohang and Uloong-do, and then the typhoon moved 100 kilometers farther east of the forecasted course. The entire East Sea was out of the typhoon's influence. And then, I prayed for those who were about to fly from Japan to attend the retreat, and then the typhoon became weak. As a result, the Japanese members could safely arrive and enjoy the summer retreat.
Even greater work took place in last September. Manmin missionaries and pastors requested my prayer for the hurricane "Irma" which was approaching the US, and I prayed on Friday, Sep. 8. Hurricane Irma was expected to make landfall on Florida's east coast as Level 4 hurricane and then move northward along the east coast. Since there are many heavily populated metropolitan cities on the eastern seaboard, the US was in a state of emergency. After I prayed, however, Hurricane Irma continued WNW and then changed its course northward over inland Florida where it quickly weakened and began to dissipate.
Around the 34th Anniversary last year, Hurricane Matthew was approaching the US; upon the request of a pastor from the US, I prayed, and the hurricane quickly became weak. These kinds of works took place not just a couple of times. I cannot introduce all of them because of given time, this church keeps all the records of them. They are all similar; the timing is so perfect and precise that people cannot think of it as coincidence. We can surely believe that God, the LORD of all things, heard the prayer and answered.
Besides these occurrences, God manifested amazing 'wonders such as sending rain to stop drought, and making rain stop where it was flooded. Especially since last year, God allowed me to adjust the temperature by power so that Manmin could enjoy a pleasant Summer retreat at the temperature of 25-26 in Celsius in August which is the hottest month of the year.
Through the spiritual space, God sent dragonflies; they sat on our bodies to give us another summer of beautiful memories. That's why so many people of the world wish to attend Manmin Summer Retreat. They wish to witness the glory of God with their own eyes. As they come, they see it is all true. And, it brings Manmin together as one all the more.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
I explained the reasons Manmin has been able to become one till this day of 35th anniversary; first, Manmin has followed the teaching of only one Shepherd. Secondly, Manmin has been bound in love. And third, Manmin has always sought after the glory of God.
Jesus said in John 14:12, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father." Those who can truly believe in this by faith can manifest signs and wonders just as Jesus did, and they can do even greater works. They can glorify God as much as they want.
Our Jesus wants not only pastors but also those who believe in Him to do so. And so, Jesus said in His prayer, "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one," as written in John 17:22. Just as the Lord and God are one, He wants all of us who believe in Him to become one with God and the Lord. May all of you become the fruit of the answer to His dearest prayer, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray. |
